Well, I know some vegetarians and they do not look sick. I am making sure that I do my research thoroughly. I am still reading up on vegan eating and getting more information.
I have so much energy now and feel great! I am glad I made the change.

Exactly. I didn't eat right before I decided to choose eating like a vegan. That was why my cholesterol and blood sugar were not at healthy levels. By the way I feel now, I know I got the blood sugar scenario in control. I'll find out about the cholesterol after my blood work on June 7.

Maybe you're dong it wrong
True that, there are bad carnivore diets and bad omnivore diets and bad ovo-veg and lacto-veg and pescatarian diets. I know lots of sickly-looking people too but doubt any of them are vegetarians.
So...not disagreeing with you per se, just how you went about your logic

I know and dine with plenty of people who are vegetarians of all different levels...I'd say the majority are not nuts. Just because I love my meat doesn't mean I'd frown upon them...and hopefully (and based on my experience) in return I except the same from them...allow me to enjoy my meat.
You know one thing that just leaves me flabbergasted at times is that we here in America with the most food and variety at our disposal compared to the rest of the world, such a large portion of people CHOOSE to eat unhealthy and be malnourished.

That is right Frosty. It is about choice.
Some people that I know think that as long as they eat three meals a day, no matter what it is, it is healthy.

Choices, it's one of the downsides of living in a free country.
"In this fiery and funny talk, New York Times food writer Mark Bittman weighs in on what's wrong with the way we eat now (too much meat, too few plants; too much fast food, too little home cooking), and why it's putting the entire planet at risk."
Only thing I didn't like about this talk is that he didn't just tell people the right thing to do is to quit eating meat.
It's funny hearing Americans call vegetarians sickly looking. I think whoever says that just has a warped vision of how people should look. Sort of like most grandmothers, always pushing young people to eat, eat, eat. Being fit and have a low percentage of fat is a very good thing. Cancer LOVES fat cells. I'm definitely not sickly looking, I've actually put on weight since I stopped eating meat.

Just don't forget to change things up a bit so you don't get bored with the same foods every day.
I have been making sure that I have a lot of variety in the foods that I eat. I am having fun with this. Not only is it healthy, the best part....it is cheaper too.
