getting new isp, suggestions?

im moving in with my gf in a suburb of chicago.
zip code 60073.
as with many other locations, comcast is the only cable provider, ive seen bad and good things bout them.

dsl there is att and verizon i believe.

im going to be playing alot of games so im looking for lower pings.

i saw speakeasy has great ping times also, but theyre a bit pricey.

any suggestions?

Speakeasy is one of the best for DSL.

I would eliminate att dsl real quick adn compare comcast and verizon options. I've had great service with comcast so I would be leaning towards them with a 5120 surfboard modem, great speed and pings.

theyre my first option, comcast that is. speed for price is actually very good. and low pings would be my biggest priority.

ive heard though that since so many people are on comcast that their is always bad network congestion. thats the only flaw for them atm.

When Comcast's system and stuff works its good.... Their customer support sucks major butt so you have to pick your battles.

Gaming in general has been fine... but as I said "when it works its great" Getting them to work on or fix a issue sometimes is like pulling teeth.
