Portable DVD Player... which one?

I'd like to buy a portable DVD player but I've never looked into what specs are important etc. Battery life is not the most important thing since I'll be using it at home mostly. Any recomendations or things to watch out for? The prices I've seen ($150-$500) are all within my range. I know that some can function as a player and contain video out, but that is not important. I'll only be using it as a portable.

Odd question (since I don't have much of an answer for yours): If you plan on using the device mainly in your own home, why are you looking for a portable one?

You might want to get one that supports Divx.

I don't own a TV. Right now I only watch DVDs and that is on my computer. I'd like something portable that I can watch while out in the garage, living room, bedroom etc.
