What i have already done is disconnect the IDE's and connect the SATA only, I started the computer up, i put the Win XP cd in, let it load to install SCR, then it told me no HD found. I dont know how to connect the SATA HD

You only connect 1 type of power, serial or legacy(molex)
I delt with a few of these boards recently and I dont remember any trouble getting it to show up.
Installing windows with just the sata plugged in first like you did is the easiest way to make sure its C:
Check the bios, make sure the sata ports are enabled, you shouldnt need a floppy with the driver to make windows see it..

Not sure if I can really be of any help because I have two SATA drives that I have been trying to get working with an Asus MB for two years now. I have had them working for up to six months at a time, but then all of a sudden one of the partitions would disappear. I have never got a good explanation for that.
A couple of things I did learn is make sure your SATA drive is recognized in your BIOS. Make it the 1st or 2nd boot device after the CD. Make sure the HD is set to be bootable and is a primary HD before installing the OS. This can be done with the software that came with the disk, or go to the HD web site and get it.
Shortly after you begin the installing the OS it should ask if you need to install other drivers for your HD. This will flash on the screen for only a few seconds so watch for it. This information is in your MB manual or from the Asus web site. If they are needed be sure you have these drivers on a floppy disk, or some other device that can be accessed during the OS install.
While you are doing this it is a good idea to unplug the power to the IDE's so they will not interfere. Once you are up and running with the SATE you can go back to the IDE's and plug them in and they should be recognized as drive 1 and 2, the SATA will be drive 0. To be on the safe remove the bootable information from the master IDE, otherwise you should be able to leave them as they are or do what you want with them.
Hope this helps a little, but I am sure some of the other members who have forgotten more than I know will also get back to you.

My bad you do nee a floppy disk.
Since it didnt come with one, download this:
ftp://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/id ... v10022.zip
unzip that and copy the following files from that download to a blank floppy disk:
Si3112r.inf
Si3112r.sys
Si3112r.mpd
TxtSetup.oem
With all those on the floppy begin your XP install, as soon as you get to the blue setup screen it'll say F2 for repair on the bottom and then it'll say F6 to install aditional drivers, press F6.
A bit later in the install it will ask you for that floppy, or say press S to add drivers, put it in and hit enter.
Then you continue the install and it should find the hard drive.
