I thought so too at first, 'till I heard Peter Jackson was producing it. I firmly believe with him this movie will rock.

The script was written by the guy who wrote 28 Days Later. That, Peter Jackson as an executive producer, and the fact that Bungie has a lot of creative control over the film are all very good signs.

And despite all that it will be bad, because games make bad movies and movies make bad games.

That was only good because they prepared our brains for it by making the first one so bad.

I agree. Jesus Christ could make the movie and it would still suck.
Respect it.

naw a G rated Halo would suck....i vote out JC for direction...
This movie could be good. I enjoyed both RE movies. They weren't the best thing but they did fine with what they had. Hopefully the next one will be good too.
Halo "could" be made into a summer blockbuster. if they take the game toss it out and then make a movie based on the story.

I think they'd be better off creating a feature length Red vs. Blue.

Let's just hope the 3-hour bug doesn't jump from Jackson to the director.

I don't mind 3 hr movies, as long as it's good, with LOTR and King Kong being prime examples of great 3 hr movies.

I dunno, I think the game Halo was a good movie already, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. Hell I liked "Doom" just fine, it was a fun shoot-em-up movie. (and yes, I have seen many more "art-house", foreign and independent films than most if not all here, except maybe Jim)

Give Fatal Frame a shot if you're looking for another creepy game that doesn't resort to cheap tactics to scare you.
