Do I need a Doctor? (Pic)

Post by Joint Chiefs of Staff »

Currently it's 8:36 a.m. here in Kuwait. I went to bed around 11:30 p.m. last night with no sign of any problem to my eye. When I awoke 30 minutes ago I found my left eye sore and irritated. Take a look at the picture. What should I do? I never had this problem before. TIA

Looks like a little cyst. I'd give it a day or so and if it still bothers you see a doctor.

Then again, I'm not a doctor so I wouldn't take what I said too seriously. If you can afford it go sooner.

No, you don't need to see a doctor.

That is what you have "tEh Intarweb" for.

I have usually seen styes on the edge of the eyelid and never on the inside. Go to the dam doctor. If the irritation continues, you are creating an environment for an infection. You certainly don't want that.

looks like it is on your Lacmiral gland, those same kind of spots can be found on the inside of the cheek, when measles first appear. It could be Trachoma (chronic infection of the eye), which being around sand, and in a different country, could easily happen.

since we have an agreement on the eye situation, I can feel comfortable bringing to light your 'other' problem.

Here's what I would suggest:

Yeah I picked these drops today from a RX on the economy. I'll give it two more days to disappear and then I'll hit the doc for a second opinion.

Two more days and I'll go to the doc if (whatever the hell it is) doesn't go away.

Well, it is antibiotic eye drops. It recommends that you use it for at least another 2 days after it disappears.

never saw a stye on the inside of an eye..usually on the eyelids. It does look like one tho kinda but still I'd not take any chances if you have health coverage.
