ebay question

Been awhile since i bought something from ebay and i now i wanna place a bid.
My question ..If i place a bid lets say $130 and then i write $250 in maximum bid im not gonna pay those 250 bucks right ? Its just in a case if somebody will try to buy it too but he will have to bid more then $250 correct ?

Its probably best to just snipe it towards the end of the auction instead of bidding it up in the beginning. Wait till the last few minutes and see what happens instead of starting a bid war in the early stage of the auction. You might just get it a lot cheaper.

yah i only set that max if i'm away from the comp when it ends. it only bids the minimum over the highest bid, so say your bid was 140 and someone bids 145, then the auto thing will raise it around 1 dollar, not instantly bring it up to 250.

Be prepared to pay your maximum bid amount.

When I bought my motorcycle, I placed a last minute bid of $3200, hoping it wouldn't go that high but I was ready to pay if that's what it took. I got it for $2600.

but the auction ends today at 4:00 am ...im gonna be sleeping and i need that thing no matter what
so before i go to bed im gonna start war (hope not)
