WTH?! Thats like what the wife and I together make in a year(~73k last year) and we live in a 2600sq ft 4br 2.5ba 2 living rooms with open foyer house with decent cars in a nice neighborhood.
You could live Very nicely here from that income.

Consider COL (Cost of Living)....regional. Making 65k/year in a place that's very affordable so you can actually build a savings, at a job that gives you incredible benefits, great retirement, and a non-stressed career....heck I'd take that over a job making 150k/year in a high COL area where 85% of your salary goes to renting a closet and parking and transportation.Ghosthunter wrote:Wow they dont pay you guys a lot...that sucks

that the thing...my cost of living isnt that high if ya think about it. Keep in mind I dont live in the city itself. I live 60 miles north of it.
I bought my house for 100K 6 years ago it now worth close to 300K, yes I do have a long commute, about 1.5 hours, and pay about 5K in commuting costs a year to the train but that about it. Of course if I bought a house directly in Manhattan it would be ridiculous

But if you bought the house u have now, at this time it would be a higher cost of living mortgage wise.
Do they actually have "houses" in Manhattan?

That there could not be worth an aweful lot of money to some people. Not only in time invested each day...each week, making for a long day, but day after day after day...that stress can take a toll on ones life quality.Ghosthunter wrote:yes I do have a long commute, about 1.5 hours,
