Wooooow! That's pretty hardcore. You think the dog would have backed off the instant it felt just one of those things make contact.

The dog asked for it, im sure it was trying to kill the porcupine, but you gotta feel sorry for it seeing it like that. I hope it didnt damage his eyes or nose.

I pity the unfortunate soul the dog comes across with a toothpick in his mouth. Also.. that dog won't mess with certain punk rockers anymore.

Impressive pictures, to say the least! I'm sure the vet will have to put the dog under to get them out. Porcupine quills are barbed at the end.

No, not mine Pie. LOL
Don't know where the dog is. My daughter sent the pics to me.
"Spike" was just a play on the situation it's in. ;)

I don't think this breed learns from their errors in judgement.

The vet must have been counting the $$ for treating it though methinks. It would have taken a few hours to pull them all out. A .22c option may have been an alternative. ;)

Looks like he has the porcupine attached to his face there are so many quills.

Hey Croc can you get an updated story from your daughter? I don't know about the .22 round unless there was no hope of recovery. Per the picture the doggy looks to be standing so that's a good sign. If I was Vet I would give the dog a shot to put him to sleep for a bit then pluck, pluck, pluck away.

Checked with her. She forwarded it to me. The history of the pics and the location of the dog and his perforated head are a mistery. One that will remain I fear.

You don't think a dog that dumb needs to be protected from further harm with the .22c option Patrick???
