Good XBox Games

Post by tao_jones »

I am getting an Xbox from work and what are some of the better games for it.

This is what I am getting for free...

Xbox is Microsoft's future-generation video game system that delivers the most powerful games experiences ever. Xbox empowers game artists by giving them the technology to fulfill their creative visions as never before, creating games that blur the lines between fantasy and reality.

This package includes

Xbox Console
Xbox Controller S
Xbox Live Starter Kit
DVD Movie Playback Kit
Standard AV Cable
Hip Gear Controller
Rainbow Six 3

Wow, and it reads just like a Microsoft press release! :p

As with any other sort of entertainment, it boils down to personal preference in many cases. There are plenty of good games for the machine, but it's pointless to recommend something like Ninja Gaiden or Chronicles of Riddick if you aren't a fan of action games or shooters.

What types of games do you usually enjoy (console or PC), as that information can help us make better suggestions to fit your tastes.

If you are into racing games Project Gotham Racing 2 is a must, or if you like first person shooters Halo is definetly the game to try

MUST HAVE: Splinter Cell 1 & 2
Good Shooters: Rainbow Six 3, Halo (although not a fan of it myself)
Good RPGs: Fable, Morrowind

I don't really play any xBox games, just watch my brother play them. I only have an xBox for modding reasons. Although I have done some splinter cell PT lan parties and I must say that is the most revolutionary multiplayer I have ever seen, SO much fun!

Those are my two favorite games..

Halo was probably the most fun & challenging single player FPS I've ever played.. Great storyline, good graphics for a console, smooth feel/control, comical enemies with decent AI.. I was totally blown away by this game.. I expected it to be "so-so" and by the second level when I crash landed on the halo surface, I was totally sucked into it. Coop is fun as well. :thumb: I can't wait for the sequel.

Give Ninja Gaiden a whirl. I still consider it to be one of the finest action games I've ever played.

I got R6-3 and didn't care for it at all. I played the pc versoins way too much for them to switch the reticule up on me like they did... :( THe aiming i couldn't get used to and it killed the game for me...Other than that good graphics and the controls were tight too....D@mned reticule...

TRy out Star Wars: Knights of the Old republic if you have time for an RPG.

Halo, Ghost Recon (not as pretty as R6)

If you like flying try out Secret Weapons over Normandy, you can nab it for pretty cheap! Controls and graphics were really good on this one.

Football get the ESPN2k5 (ive only broken ONE controller playing online! :D )

hope this helps

have fun

DOA Ultimate should be out tomorrow, and the Live play is virtually perfect.

Fatal Frame II and LOTR: The Third Age should both be out within a week as well.
