got "newdotnet" need help

i down loaded imesh and some how picked up newdotnet. i did several searches for info on the topic but still need help.

i am having trouble loging on to net and when i do get on system is real slow. speed .435mps down from 1.693 befor.

i ran adaware 6.0, spybot search and destroy, and spywareblater.i have done a file search and deleted all newdotnet files. ran newdotnet uninstall program.

then i found the instructions on this site to go to "registry editor" and clear files. i followed the instuctions and deleted all newdotnet folders but when i get to the the part where i need to clear the files in winstock2 folder i run into problems.

i open:
hkey_local_machine
currentcontrolset
services
winstock2
parameters
now when i open namespace_catolg5 there is only one folder and it has no info on newdotnet so i close namespace_catalog5
open: protocol_catalog9 it has 6 folders in it. all 6 folders i open "packedcatalogitem" and all 6 read
C:\windows\system\msafd.dll.\.tnet\newdotnet6_22.dll
if i delete all 6 folders and change "num_catalog_entries" to (0) i lose all internet.
witch folders do i delete?
i noticed that the first 4 folders under "protocol_catalog9/catalog_entries" have the same numbers next to "packedcatalogiem" and the last 2 folder have the same numbers next to "packedcatalogiem"

i hope this makes sense. i am not a computer expert but i can follow direction if any one can help. thank you in advance.

thanks Croc, i followed your link and finally got all catalog entriers cleaned out. i had to use the winsock2 fix posted at that site but as far as i can tell newdotnet is gone. man did i learn a lot. the only problem now is my connection speed is down to .064mps. should i go to the tweaks forum for help with that?
