Whenever I find a dead link on the web, this shows up in my address bar:

C:\WINNT\tdrelglglwgl.htm#http://www.groups.msn.com/memberpluscentral

What is the tdrelglglwgl.htm part ?

Sounds like CoolWebSearch. Very difficult to remove. Google for CWShredder. It can't be downloaded from its original site because the site is under continuous DDOS attach by CoolWeb's authors.
