If you dont want bleeding edge go with 0.7

I only use IE to windows update.

Isn't avant just a front-end for IE?
I say mozilla all the way!

That combined with tabbed browsing makes it so much better.
It kills IE in so many ways. It's an active development so new releases are frequent. Any security issues are dealt with immediately, it looks nicer, it runs real html code and not the bastardised code for IE.... and it continues to become better with every release

Not to mention that I can also search google from my address bar if I want to

Hey spicer, check out this page. It's old, but may still be a valid reason to stay away from Netscape.

Not accurate anymore, with the newer Netscape stuff.

Nope, it's for tabbed browsing, whether it be apps, an internet browser, or Explorer browser. Remember alt+TAB ?

20 at the moment, but I could open more, and my PC is nowhere near the capability of yours. 20 is enough.

I have given it a try....several times, through several versions. Too many quirks and weird things. Some odd stuff when you try to post to forums.

IE7 supposedly supports tabbed browsing, too, and will come with an integrated pop-up blocker...when it's to be released, though, is the main question.
Apparently IE6 will be the last Standalone Install...
MS can't add tabs without making major changes to the Windows shell. IE's great strength was its integration with Windows, but that's now its greatest weakness. MS can't add tabs to IE without adding tabs to Windows, and I think that's exactly what they will do. Another PC Dude somewhere (LOL!) said: "Further improvements to IE will require enhancements to the underlying OS".
