New ShoutCast Server Up

Post by ExarKun »

Ok Time to indulge into my realm I’ve set up a ShoutCast server its beta since I have no Idea how many connections a T-1 can handle "for a ShoutCast server" I set the user limit at 25 and the bit rate at 128k

It is a strange mix of music and is not censored so be careful kiddies :D
Connect via winamp at 64.208.227.3:8000

Please post any comments and if anyone knows if I can get this thing to handle 75 or more users let me know

GlobalCrossing.com just the second largest on the planet.. hell I can ping it under 20ms every time, but I have an unfair advantage.. Im only 3 miles away

Post a trace route then I can get to the bottom of it

ExarKun, you may not like this, but one way to allow more users is to stream at 64k instead of 128k. :(

I know that PhishCast does this. One good thing about using 64k is that analog modems can stream for the most part.

The drawback is of course, sound quality.
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children and the children yet unborn and the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.

Actually I thought about that, I think I'll just pump more bandwith into it If I have to
