If your'e looking for a Zelda fix, you could always go back to the old GB/GBC Zelda games (Zelda (DX), Oracle of Ages, Seasons) if you've missed them. When you say similar games, are you referring to something specific like the combat system? Or just any high quality adventure or RPG game?

Sword of Mana.........that is related to the Secret of Mana series?

Where does it fall in the timeline?

Number 1 was just Secret of Mana right?, number 2 I don't think was released out there but can be found emulated. Number 3 was the PSX Legend of Mana. So is this one number 4 or a remake of a previous game?

As I posted in Jayy's GBA thread:

Sword of Mana had been released in Japan in the past, and I believe it's basically the same game as Final Fantasy Adventure on the Game Boy. The numbering/naming scheme of Seiken Densetsu/Mana is a little more than confusing, and I believe there are five total games in the series. But all of that aside, if you haven't played it but enjoyed Legend Of Mana, you'll probably love it.

As far as where it fits in the timeline, I believe it takes place before Secret Of Mana (which was Seiken Densetsu 2).

Oh yeah...Final Fantasy adventure was actually part of the Mana series.

My brother had all the Final Fantasy games on the original gameboy. Adventure was the only one I beat...hehe.

If you like a long game with a good story get Tatics Ogre

http://www.atlus.com/toa/

its around 56 hours of game play give or take 5 hours.

very good game though...nice to play with an adapter. :D

Heh, it's not exactly the easiest game to find without paying ~$40 for a used copy. :p

Is it hard to find now??

I had no idea I bought it for my bro when it was X-mas I think...so I never had to worry about looking for it ever again..haha

but it is worth it if you find it, especially if you love Final Fantasy Tatics...which has also just been released for GBA.

It's not as rare as some titles, but since it wasn't in production for long (which seems to be a recurring theme with Atlus' titles in the US, so I do suggest you check out Disgaea before it disappears), your only bet is to try a used game store or a place like Ebay.

Speaking of FFTA...here's my latest acquisition (crappy quality due to the incredibly poor lighting up here). :D

I saw the tatics ogre which looks similar to the final fantasy tatics. Listen, the game is too much rpg and no enough action, (especially when sharing the game boy w/the wife). :o

Tactical RPGs are usually like that. You know...RPGs with more focus on tactical planning than actual action? :p

That being said, with Shining Soul getting some very mixed reviews, you'll pretty much have to wait for Sword Of Mana for the next best non-Zelda action/RPG on the GBA.
