2 Network Connection Icons in Control Panel?

Post by TM1200 »

Hello everyone, I have a question... today I noticed that there are 2 Network Connection icons available in my Control Panel for Windows XP, both have the same network adapter, with the same settings... When I try to disable one, it disables my connection to the net (either icon). I know that there isn't supposed to be 2 icons in the control panel, so my question is, how do I get rid of 1 of the icons?

I also checked the device manager, and the settings there are correct, there is only 1 Lan card installed...

any info is much appreciated...

Did you move the ethernet card to a different slot?
