MSN Messenger Question

Post by Blitz »

K, so I have a Laptop.

whenever I "kick" into Standby mode, MSN Messenger disconnects on me, and I have to reconnect. So if I leave my comp for only 15 min, it will go into Standby and disconnect MSN, making it a nuisance for me to always log in....

Where can I change this? I went to Personal Settings in MSN, and I said to stay connected and not put me into Away Mode until more than 900 minutes of idle time, but still, it always disconnects on me.

TIA.

Is your firewall set to stop all Internet traffic when the screensaver activates or when it goes into standby?
People will forget what you said... and people will forget what you did... but people will never forget how you made them feel.

Also look in device manager for your network card. In properties, unclick 'allow windows to power down this device in standby"....or something to that effect.
