id is trying to get it out by december 2003, but more than likely it will be next year in spring.

ever played the leaked demo for it yet? Pretty Pretty Fun !

I've read up on something like that... but the thing is DoD is just another half life mod..

valve is just milking the half life franchise and it's modders... they're doing nothing after half life.... I've played dod since beta 1.2

Half-Life had its own delays. Valve will have to prove to gamers if they're a competent developer, or simply a one-hit-wonder. They certainly haven't reached the level of DNF or even Daikatana, but TF2 is certainly getting there.

There is no firm date, but there was an interview with Tim Willits of iD just this past week, found a link from FiringSquad or somewhere.

They are shooting for end of this year, but it will be shipped "when they feel it's ready".

Everything seems to point for a release at the end of this year, assuming Carmack doesn't take Gates' giant check.
