hmm, it seems as if the maximum file size on a FAT32 drive is 4gigs, now... i have WinME, if i had my drive formated to NTFS, would i still be able to run winme? would i have to reformat to change this? what would be the max file size?

heh, maybe this is the wrong forum for this, i dunno but i have some divx movies and i want to play them to my tv through my Dazzle thing (it has a video out thru USB)

ok.. but... the Dazzle program will not play DIVX format... however, it will play mpeg format...

ok, so i want to paste a LOT of text into the type tool in photoshop. now when i do that... each paragraph becomes one really LONG line... now is there anyway i can set margins or something of that sort so that that does not happen?

well really u should be able to do it but probably wouldnt be much faster then a 56k once u count the overhead.. you could try a cheap switch, or mb a netgear rt314 router...

well, ur 1 NIC should do the trick... 100mbps is faster then most connections so it should be ok... if u have a super fast connection u can always use a gigabit nic... what would be the point in using 2?

ok welll the best thing to do is to buy urself a NIC PC Card for the laptop... u can find one at just about any computer store... then all u need to do is use a cat5e cable to hook ur laptop to ur router and thats it

i have @home also, and yes you must put the ID Information from your computer... which was given to u by @home... in the ID Information place in the router... in my experience, it simply wont work without it..

yes, the whole purpose of a router is so that u wont need multiple ips, roody... :)

as to network speed... if u have a good router like the netgear rt314 it really shouldnt slow u down at all... the bandwidth is capped at ur cable/dsl modem regardles of how many ips u have...

in my experience tho ...

ok well

well, itd prolly be cheaper for u just to use 1 ip adress if u already got a router... all u need to do then really is set the ftp server on computer 1 to run off a random port number such as 4324 and computer 2 to run off a random port number such as 4356... then... u go into the ADVANCED section ...

if u have a choice of 2 way sattelite and @home cable, u should DEFINATELY go with the @home.. the @home has not only a much faster download speed... but the distance from you to outer space will make the pings on the sattelite REALLY high... the only real use for sattelite is if u are FAR FAR FAR ...

ok, so i have some old CD-R discs.. i dont even know what speed they are... now.. i have a new cd burner that can do a 12x burn... now, the old CD-R disks prolly arent 12x rated, they are probably more like 4x or 6x.. so if i put them in my 12x burner will they work? or will they melt or something ...
