Guess what I just found out. There's a web site that shows you how to uncap your Surfboard modem to pass the 1.5 Mbps barrier. It consists of 8 steps with detailed guides and pictures of course. But the bad thing is that I don't have a surfboard.

Let me try it out and I post the results for you guys. Not on my modem cuz it's an RCA, but my friend has on Surfboard.

Damn, after tweaking got 6 Mbps down and 1.5 Mbps up. Take that. I chatted with others in the IRC channel, they even got higher speed than I am, they are getting 15 Mbps down and 4 Mpbs up. Now that's what I'm talking about broadband.

I would call and complain about those speeds. I mean hell, there are others getting faster than you! That's just not right! After all, you are paying them money for their service. By the looks of it you are only getting 1/3 of what other people are getting. call the cops, call you're congresspeople, call the I-Team!!! You is gettin' robbed!
