Downstream/Upstream have been set incorectly by ISP in your modem/router so they can get higher kbps !but why do i see some guys claiming to reach 100+ kb/s download using the same internet package?

please help me too..my connection not stable because of my ping every second goes 30-150 to rapidshare.com..last time i got very stable ping since my country broadband getting lousy service .

I still at square one, with lots of tests, and configs with Windows PC-s the perform poorly with TCP. Meanwhile, any Linux is 30 times faster.

I think I have found one more difference I have not checked earlier. The windows machines in question are using 64 bit version of Windows.
