dmz or virtual server

hello again
i need to use port forwarding in order to increase download speed of my software but after reading some material, i am confused between setting up dmz for my pc or creating a virtual server with a range of ports to forward to. which is better

DMZ = Death by trojans/spam

Creating a virtual server means you place your comp behind a NAT with your router acting as the server.
DMZ zone means your comp is in a zone outside a NAT and exposed naked to the world wide web - thus it is also called Death by trojans and spams (YoS).

Alright, but now how do i proceed t o make bitcomet connect to all and dowmload freely. i need to open ports for it to connect. i have put my pc in dmz but now i am reverting back, thanks.

Here are links to guides on method to port forward:
First, set your computer(s) with static LAN IP address:

Then click on the make and model of your router, followed by clicking the name of BitComet:
