Sad to see him go. I remember a lot of good things about brent and although I thought he was a bit roungh on the edges, maybe he just needs a bit of time to sort himself out in real life. Best of luck to ya brent.

There is more than 1 way to spoof your IP..not that he'll do it, but the means are out there if you know how to use them.
Say hey!! I have that song for my ring tone! As far as Brent goes...he was good at times, but sadly at most other times he was WAY too brash for it to be "just how he is" almost as if he whent out of his to lash out...SpareX wrote:So Long.. Thanks for all the fish!

I might not have always agreed with Brent, and thought some of his ideas were a bit off...but he still a good guy and I liked him.
We all know some people are able to get away with certain violations a lot more then others. Be nice to see some fair and consistency in the mods as a whole.
SG has lost a lot of good people over past year and what a shame. SG truly not same use to be.

lets face it..what has SG come down to?
many of the good people have left such as Ghost, Torsten, now Brent, and a few others pop in from time to time like Messiah, and UOD, and ScottE
nobody really comes to SG for hardware anymore..dont need to..most of the political threads here are so one sided bush haters it not funny, just blame everything on bush..gets kind of old be nice to have some sort of decent debate and even if you try to debate you are called a talking head..majority of political threads are about crazy conspiracy theories that should be on artbell.com forums

Anything that is in a state of stasis is doing nothing. Redundant, but essentially what needs to be said. Things change over time, and something as volatile as a discussion board will undergo radical changes quickly. SG has held a familiar shape quite well IMO.

I respected Brent for a long time when I first came here. And it really does suck that he had to be banned perminantly. He gave a lot to the SG community a few years ago.. I wonder what happened that changed that.
Hope your life goes well from now onward, Brent.

Brent has fine technical skills, and from what I read on [H], the ability to convey those talents effectively. To clip a page from Hackneyed and Maudlin, we probably would have been chums had met in real life. It is through the prisms and filters of the internet that differences are brought into such sharp focus.

Thank you.
There comes a time when you have to hold yourself responsible for your own actions...why it has taken SG so long to make it permanent is beyond me! SG has been lenient toward Brent and other's for many years now. SG's tolerance has obviously been reached!

I have enjoyed Brent here for the past years, Its a shame to see him go. I remember a bunch of fun times with his posts. He will forever be in my book as the ''Duke Of Video Cards''.
Best of luck to you Brent, take it easy!

A life sentence is 25 years (at which point you are eligible for parole). Life without parole is until you die. This can vary state-to-state (assuming the charges are not federal)Prey521 wrote:It is? Then how come I've seen sentences where they get "25 to Life"? I thought that life in prison in the US was 75 yrs.
EDIT - 25-2-life means after 25 you may apply for parole.
