what makes u think that setting will be more optimal then the one i have right now? remember im plugged into a 9mbit pipeline..

never mind.. sorry misread the numbers..

they are ok.. i just picekd from cable nut the 10mbit setting... i would like a more customized setting for my connection if thats possible.. ill provide any info i can.. i havent hit anything about 300k/sec though..

hey guys, my isp just recently upgraded to the new docsys (sp?) 2.0 standard and the connection has been upgraded to 9mbit down and 1mbit up from 3mbit down and 512kb up..

what settings should i use?

im running p4 1.7ghz 512mb ram with win xp home SP1.
for some reason the tcp analyzer is not ...

those numbers dont help me much at all..

i have all the necessary steps done i just need the reg tweak. on winxp home pre sp1, 2880/512 aurora cable internet.

thanx for all your help guys! one thing that stumps me is how is PC133 SDRAM more expensive then DDR?!

PC133 = $109 canadain funds
DDR 2100 = $39-54 after rebates canadian funds

Ok guys i wanna buy some ram and i need answers. how do i find out what kind of ram im already using and what i can fit? is there any way i can find out in WinXP what sticks im using? or do i have to open the beast up and see manually what it says on the stick?

i cant really judge cus right after i saw the custom setting one where you came up with the equation. i did that and the pages just load in an instant and downloads 'seem' faster.. i dont know if its just placebo or if its for real. but it seems faster then my original setting.
