If you want to try a really good email client & Spam remover , these are very good .

I can look at my mail on the ISP's server , delete ( spam removal ) , reply , click on links & if I want it on my comp , click on Move to > Archive .

In Windows , Start > Shut Down , select Restart in MS-Dos mode .
At the DOS prompt , get to c:\> and the type in win.com /d:m & it
will reboot to Safe Mode .

Don't have XP installed anymore , went back to 98 .

Not sure about the 98 boot disk .

Try this .

Start up with your Boot disc or Startup disk in ( without cd rom support )
At the A: prompt , type , sys c: and then press ENTER.

Take out the boot disk and then "Repair" XP by booting from the XP ...

Enable Quick post in BIOS setup , as long as you have a have a lot of memory .

Go to your CMOS/BIOS setup and look for the COM port settings. If you are not using COM2, disable it. If you are using it for an external modem, then set it for a setting other than 2F8 and 3F8.

To set a Minimum swap file & let Windows handle the Max .
Start > Run > System.ini
In the [386Enh] section add a line like

MinPagingFileSize=130000

Save, exit, reboot

(The above sets the min to 130MBs)
