SmartRG SR555ac

details: FTTH/Bonded VDSL2 Dual-Band 802.11ac WiFi Router
hardware type: DSL Wireless Router
date added: 2017-08-29
updated: 2020-02-09
With integrated support for the ITU-T's G.993.5 Vectoring specification, the SR555ac works in conjunction with vectoring-enabled DSLAMs to remove crosstalk interference, allowing lines to reach their full bandwidth potential, as if they were the only lines in the cable binder.

The SR555ac bonds two xDSL lines, extending the rate/reach of high-bandwidth services and providing high-availability with automatic failover. Support for Super Vectoring (35b profile) doubles single-line VDSL2 performance on short loops.

With features such as G.inp Physical Layer Retransmission, advanced IGMP/Multicast
traffic handling, and dynamic VLAN mapping/tagging, the SR555ac delivers the high throughput at low bit error rate required when delivering Ultra HD video services over copper
and assures Quality of Service is maintained in the triple play environment.

So far this is an excellent piece of equipment. Having always been stuck with ISP provided equipment I decided to step out and purchase this Smart RG555AC gateway from an equipment seller. Set up was a little frustrating since I had forgot my atm/frame relay overlay days. After a little time trying a few different configs, I was able to correctly enter my VPI VCI and VLAN info, This thing has been sold since I completed the installation. I am please with the performance and could recommend this to others.
