The World's Most Powerful Console: Xbox One X

2017-06-12 14:41 by

Microsoft has revealed the Xbox One X, which has been deemed the "world's most powerful" console. It will be arriving November 7th for $499.

One of its major promises is better graphics for players. It will contain 6 teraflops of graphical power, topping its main competitor, the PS4 Pro, with 4.2. The 6 teraflop GPU will allow 4K environments and characters to become more realistic, with more detail and smoother animations. Furthermore, the console is promising high level graphics to players even without a 4K television. By using a process called "supersampling", the computer creates images at a quality much higher than the television can show, and shrinks it down. Microsoft has said that this will make games look better than ever.

Additionally, the Xbox One X will have more memory and smoother processing. 12GB GDDR5 of graphic memory will add speed and power, boosting overall game performance. This includes the ability to render bigger worlds or further horizons, as well as shrinking load times. Also, the 8-core custom AMD CPU is clocked at 2.3GHz, meaning there will be enhanced AI and smoother interactions. Overall, gameplay will improve greatly with the world's new "most powerful" console.
