For Newbies mandrake is very good, Uer Friendly, and installs easy as hell.

I used to use Slackware...very stable, but not as "user friendly" as some others (well, I suppose so anyway). I also found it better for learning about Linux than Redhat or Mandrake.

The 3 ISO's. Then burn the ISO's to 3 didferent Disks and boot from the first one.

Thankx, But word of advice, when it tells you to put the 3rd disk in say no to it, It won't complete. At the end of the installation it will update you with what was on that disk.

During the install they ask you for Disk 3, and a box pops up, in the box say No, The third disk is just peoples contributions to the OS. After that the instal will continue, and at the end it downloads all the updates for the OS and puts them in. So in other words forget about Disk 3.

I used Easy CD 5, to burn them, but any program that will burn iso's will work fine, as for the Dual Boot, it pretty much takes care of all that, just follow all the steps.

You can't just burn the file on the disk. You need to burn the ISO image on the disk. In EZ CD, you go to file and click burn ISO from CD Image file. See if there is something like that in what you are using.

What program are you using? Just do a search in the help file for you program...most major CD burning software should have the option.
