What exactly is the point of putting the afd, tcpip drivers into ram?
Windows puts them into memory during startup.
With this "tweak" my startup times are horrible and if I go to a different domain name it takes a lot longer to get the dns.

You must have setup something wrong, I have used a Ramdrive on many pc's and never had a problem. A Ramdrive will help lower your latency and stabilize it and also helps with your speed and stabilizes it.

I think that he was implying that it was useless because windows does it automatically. I think he fails to realize this will have it RUN from the ran not just load if that is the case.
Am I correct?
