PLEASE CAN ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO REGISTER MY CABLE MAC ID;IT WAS WORKING OKY BUT IT STOPPED WORKING

check your IP addy! Is it similar to the one you had before.... with my cable co. when I plugged in, I had to configure, through their browser, the computer which was connected to them... then the IP would change, MAC etc... etc... so Try releasing and renewing your IP.... I'm not sure but it COULD help with MAC etc..

just an idea... hope it works

If you unplug you modem for about 30 secs and plug it back in, it should resync, and be fine, If not call your ISP :(

What kind of setup do you have? Router? Hub? Straight in to modem? What?

What OS?
Did you change anything recently?

LIKE I TOLD YOU BEFORE MY CABLE MODEM STOPPED WORKING ;I HAVE WIN 98 ; AND ROUTER ATTACH; TO ME THE CABLE COMPANY SHUTDOWN; I NO PAYING FOR SERVICE I JUST BOUGHT IT
PLUG AND GO ;IT WORK FOR FEW MONTHS THEM STOP;SOMEBODY TOLL ME THAT I HAVE TO REGISTER THE MAC ID
PLEASE TELL WHAT CAN I DO THANK

English would be nice. :confused: If it's such a problem and your sh*t don't work call your ISP. They'll do something about it. I don't think any of us understand what the hell your talking about. :eek: :nod:

I don't know about what goes where you live, but around here if we don't pay for service, we don't get service, period.

Call your ISP.

This is one of the funniest threads I have seen in a long time!!!!


1. Sounds like he really doesn't know what's going on.
2. He doesn't understand how things work.
3. So frustrated he types broken and mispelled "english".

Sounds like he needs to call his ISP so they can charge him for his misunderstanding.

I think you are telling us you got a new modem plug it in and it work for a few month , then stop.
If you want to have cable for free your out of luck.But if you want to start the service just call the cable co.( YOUR ISP). Say I want to start cable service and have my own modem. Then give them the seriel number off the back of the modem. Then they will start your service again.
Do you have cable TV ?
