Hello I am on ool cable and speeds a good but would like to get cablenut setting and try to get a bit more .




MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.

MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which equals MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 513920
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 3 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 64240
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)

bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 20556.8 kbps (2569.6 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 8222.72 kbps (1027.84 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

Time to live left = 34 hops
TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

herei is the cable nut settings for win2k and winxp actully i need some more info such as windows verison. you got the isp and or capp rate if know them. Click on user cp and edit ur profile in with all that info also system specs due help if in other fourms cause you if wanna tweak later or having promblems, we know what were dealing with. Both our jobs will be eaiser. thank you

I beleave caps are 10mb/down 1mb/up

if you have cablenut installed try the following if not you can get it at the link below.

default recvie window 1280000
default send window 128000
for global max and tcp window size try 51100,64240,25690, 420480,525600
try them one at a time don't forget to set tcp opts to 1 if rwin is bigger 65553. for the rest of the settings look here
