Yeah, but you have to choose the correct one to close, since IE will be listed more than once. Is there a way to tell? Is the instance at the bottom the newest browser window?
Ctrl+W will close the current window.
Alt+F4 will do the same thing.

I just did a little experiment and opened multiple instances of IE, then opened Task Manager.
The newest browser windows were NOT at the bottom, and there seemed to be no way to tell which instance to close.
Anybody have any idea?
[ADDED]: Oh hell, I forgot to click on the APPLICATIONS tab, that lists the details. DUH.

I was just looking at the processes screen.

Not in W2k or XP, you can close them selectively.

well i have winxp and it closes IE windows individually, also when i do END TASK in task manager it lists the IE windows by teh title of the web page so thats how i know what to close.
