800x600 res isn't very good, even for rudimentary stuff it seems inadequate, IMO.

Get something that will take 1024x768 minimum, you'll be glad you did, really.

but its budget...i just want to take pictures of my case or something funny i see for a web picture collection...i really don't want it for incredible purposes...just a camera that takes at least 800x600 that shows up pretty nice.

Please dont suggest $200 cameras, you are scaring my budget

But in the long run you'll be very glad you saved and went with the better camera.

I had a 100 dollar camera that only took 640x480 pics and the quality was so poor that the only thing I got from it was frustration... then went out and got a higher quality camera that takes 1600x1200 and the clearity of those pictures are fricking insane... makes it worth it cause then you'll be able to print the larger images on photo paper with near photo quality (depending on MegaPixle of camera and quality of printer) but overall you'll be glad...

For $100, I have to say this camera takes very good pictures, it looks like a toy but these pics come out very good for web.
