Becarefull....I've found out there's a lot of bugs in the demo...lots of conflicts with video cards and sound cards.

Other than that, the game looks fun! Graphics look amazing!! Cant wait unit the real version comes out, could be a fun online game to play. Only thing about about the game so far is the release date on the game...a week after UT2003. I think this one will not get the attention it deserves.

$7 for your personal web server? That for a year? Might be worth the money...hate waiting in line...hehe

That's ignorant... just go to http://www.filemirrors.com and download the file from another server, just search for bf1942_sp_demo.zip. That's what I did and now i'm gettin a steady 588KB/S from Germany.

I caved in and bought the fileplanet subscription. I remember using it all the time before it was a pay site, so I resisted for quite a while, but being able to blow past all the people waiting in sometimes 350+ user lines is great.

And as far as I can tell, you can't pull from a foreign fileplanet server with a U.S. IP address.

Fileplanet is the absolute worst site, I can't believe any of you guys actually LIKE it.

There's plenty of times I dont have to wait for a file and there speed is really fast. I download a lot of golf courses for Links 2001 and I rarely have to wait in line and I usually get over 300kb/sec.

Well, the next time you guys want some to download a bunch of obscure Half-Life, Unreal, Quake and other maps all in one place without having to wait for an unreliable mirror, you know where to go. The same thing goes for a patch for any of those games. If you have the hot spots to download these files, please post the link, I'm sure the rest of us would love to know where you find them.

I'm not saying courses for Links 2001 aren't worth anything, but no one is really standing in line to get them. When Unreal 2003 demo comes out, even the file planet subscription service is going to slow down. Free sites will be /.ed

I don't know about you all, but 5 bucks to save 8 hours of fooling around time is worth it to me.
