Your Dream Car (Within Reason)

What car would you buy if you had the money?
Personally I would love a '67 Shelby GT-500 KR (Gone in 60 Seconds) However the only one of those I can afford would not be driveable.
I have found this beautiful car and I'm looking for others like it. I think I'll buy a classic fastback (hopefully GT) in the next couple of months.
I found a sweet 68 on ebay GTA 390 but doubt I'll be getting it within the next two days.
Anyway, here is a pic of what I want.
'66 Fastback GT 2+2 Matching #'s. 289 V8 Engine, 4 speed manual. Factory GT / Rally Package
I even like the colors!
Oh yes, it will be mine.
Post your's

Within reason?
Hmmmm.....
Lexus GS 400(drive one, you'll know)
No reason....427 SC Cobra, I'd strip the paint, and laquer the aluminum body, just to show it was real.

Celica

Yeah those Celicas are pretty sweet.
If I was getting a Toyota though I'd get one like the one from the Fast and the Furious. They have the best lines. Forgive me for not knowing the name. The new ones strike me as chick cars as do the older rounded ones (Brent's). No offense Brent.
My wife wants a new Celica, but it's my turn for a car. lol

Also a good call. Those newer RX-7s have a great body and plenty of zip to boot.

Acura Integra GSR

Cool pics. Like the Marine stickers on the back.
Hope you have a safe date tonight. Those cars are rated rather high in customer satisfaction and when it boils down to it, that's what is important. You don't want to get stuck with a car you don't like.

I like Skylines and GTOs. 180s Etc, but nothing beats good ole American muscle. Be it Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes, Vipers, etc.
I can honestly say that these cars would get their asses kicked in "Drifting" with today's vehicles (although ultimately these were race cars that proved themselves on the track). I would still rather be seen in one of these than a riced up turbo. Remember that I LIKE most Japanese performance vehicles. I just prefer these kinds of cars over them.

Funk, I happen to know where there is an original 65 Shellby....
I'll bet it dosn't have 20,000 miles on it.
The person who owned it, was drafted in 66 and died in VN 8 months later. His parents couldn't part with the car..it's still in their barn. All covered up. I suppose it stays there till his mom finally sells the farm.

What is her name? Ill become her personal man servant for the rest of her life if she hands that bad boy over.
I would seriously consider buying it if she ever wanted to part with it. However, I doubt that she cares much about the cost or value. It means allot more to her where it is.
EDIT: ALso, do you know the colors / body style?

LOL, her name is Ann....
I know about the car as I knew her son. I dated her daughter briefly....
I'd bet she's been offered more...

It was Rusty's and isn't for sale.........
Ann has to be ummm....75 now...maybe older. Dunno........I'd like to have it too. LOL
I have an 83 Shelby....Dodge. I'm getting ready to sell it. It's not worth fixing up. Too bad, as I loved that car. It was fun to drive but my daughter pretty much tore it up during her teenage years.

Yeah, like I said I doubt that I would be able to buy a car like that for less than it's potential value without feeling sick and guilty.
I'm only interested int he color combos and body styles to see if she has a REAL collectible.
There are a few that are extremely reare and wouldn't want anyone to get less than it's worth if it ever leaves the family.
My father has a 66 convertable. All original (not a Shelby).
I want a fastback. They have always been my favorite. I want a GT because they are worth more and appreciate better. A Shelby may be out of reach unless I REALLY butter up the wife.
