Paging File Question...

I want to move my paging file to my second hard drive (D). Can I do this by setting the C drive page file to zero and setting the page file on the D drive? Is it that simple or do I need to take more steps?
Thanks in advance...

It's that simple...yes.
Reason for moving it? No performance difference if you have the same hard drive, that is partitioned. But if your D drive is a faster physical drive than your C drive...yes a performance gain will be felt if you have minimal RAM and your swap file is used a lot.
Best thing for performance though...stuff enough RAM in your box so it doesn't use the swap file.

I remember reading that with 95/98/ME versions of Windows, there was a potential problem if you moved the swap file to a drive other than the one that contained the OS. I've grown accustomed to putting the OS on C:, and installing apps on other drives, if they're there.
Maybe MS wised up with 2000 and XP. (yeah...cough...)

No there is no problem in running yer comp with no pagefile. Some programs don't like it though. Like Adobe Photoshop. It won't run without a pagefile.
