Well, A friend of mine had some RG-6/QS Gold tips in all and I was wondering which I should use? The one that AT&T gave me when they installed about a year ago

? Or the RG-6/QS? I don't know what it means as I am not into connections that far
Thanks in advance

If you have a proper connection now, anything you do will not improve you speeds. Also keep in mind that copper has better conductivity than gold. Gold is used on connectors because it doesn't react with other materials to cause "corrosion".
There sure does seem a lot of mis-guided attention to the type of wire used to get better speeds. Even the term "tweak" the wire was used before. Nothing you can do to the wire will allow faster speeds. A good connection cannot get better.
