How much cash does everyone end up forking over for a 50pack of blank cd's? I usually have to pay around 20$.
Just wondering what the price difference around here is.

Can usually get a 50 CD-R pack for ~$6 - $10 after rebate. I always see them in that area when I check the paper.

I lived in the states for the sole reason of cheap CD-RWS! haha I pay about $60CAD for 100 700mb/80mins Princo cd-rs. That is including taxes.

Yeah, sometimes i do the rebate thing too, but usually it takes too long for my money to come back to me, so I end up paying the full 20.
Oh well.

I can get a 100 spindle 16x - 80mins for $56 out the door at one of my local pc shops. That's the everyday going rate. Then on Sunday's I go to the local flea market and get 25 single cases for $5 and 25 double cases for $8.

It's a steal in my opinion.

Terrance I suggest you reconsider this brand. From my own experience, their cdr media is genetic and the quality is not good.

I use to shop around for cheapest cd's and after few months all my music compilation became a garbadge with noises. From now on I am only buying quality cd's.
My top choices are: Sony, TDK, Verbatium, Ricoh, Maxell, Memorex (currently use and like), Yamaha(currently use and like)
All of those I personally used and would recommend. As for the price I got my 50pk Memorex 2 months ago for $22 with $10 mail in rebate that i got few days ago so it was $12, very cheap.

I just got a 50 pack (Memorex 80 min/700mb 12X) free from a customer who bought the wrong ones.
I like the Memorex the best. I used to do well with Sony, but got a bad batch my last purchase and now only buy Memorex.

I like the slim cases too, I can put more of them in my toolbox to take onsite when helping a client.
Man, I've got CD's coming out my ears now.

hmmm you sure? I'll look into a different brand then, but personally I've found them to be cheap and good. No problems so far and it's been quite a few months. I used to use Delta CD-Rs, but ehh..those were working out so well.

Also the Princo's seem to support the 24X speeds well and so I don't know if I can find other 24X media (other then Mitsui, which I found interestingly enough burned at 24X, even without a set burnspeed!).

Maybe they improved Princo from the last time I used it. But when I was using them, music cd compilation will work fine after burning, but in a few month it would have some sound defects. For 24x burns I belive Fuji is the best brand but haven't tried them so can't tell for sure.
