heres my prob

whenever i completely shut down my computer and press the power button to start back up the comp will not POST,clearing CMOS does not help, video card reseating is the only way to get it to POST.if i just restart i dont have any probs.

after a fresh format it takes 45 secs from the time the splash screen loads until i see the mouse appear and another 5-10 secs until windoze starts to load up.
it also takes about 30 secs to get through the splash screen(this happened ever since i installed the h20 cooling).

WTF?? ideas

BTW the vid card is brand new

4.8 is fine

under 4.8 is bad

Naw, when you boot up, almost EVERY component in your system is charging its capcitors, and doing self checks, so it puts more electrical stress on your PSU than when you're running full load.

Especially since you've done the volt mod 'n stuff, you really should do the 5v rail mod, and of course, flash your BIOS with the newest version from http://www.biosmods.com/
