...Its a spec sheet, so? Besides, a lot of those "N/A"'s on the GCN can be filled in, with just a few that are barely off the top of my head.
3d sound support? Does Dolby Pro Logic 2. Not quite 5.1 like on Halo, but better than stereo. And I'm sure it does some form of midi, and hardware equalizing.
And HDTV game support, as far as I believe, ALL GCN GAMES (if I'm not misstaken) support at least 480p. Not sure on higher resolutions though.

The point is, that the article by Tom's Hardware (which you can ask around, is far from a good source for info on certain topics) is misleading by listing a bunch of "N/A"'s where valid information should be.

Actually, I think this is the same tech sheet MS distributed for store displays. Needless to say, it's filled with BS.
I really like how they gloss over the fact GC has 3MB of 1T-SRAM on the GPU, double the L1 and L2 cache on the CPU, 8 simeltaneous textures and audio capabilities. Not to mention the poly numbers for GCN are with ALL effects on, whereas X-Box/PS2 figures are for raw/shaded polygons.
I really don't care about theorhetical maxes, but when people say X-Box blows away other consoles it's just nonsense.

Yes, The truth hurts.. here you go little nintendo boy. *hands tissue*
Maybe you can get mario and luigi to help you on your nintendo crusade?

There's no truth to it. I could dig up tech comparisons by first/third party developers saying PS2 is best, GC is best, X-Box is best...it's meaningless.

Here's a clip from an interview with Silicon Knights.
NG: What’s your stance on the PS2 and X-Box? We’re kinda Nintendo-centric [laughter].
DD: I think developers for the PS2 are going to have problems because of the limited texture space. You can see on the GameCube that it’s a texture monster. We’re doing more textures on Eternal Darkness than what people have done on PC games with tremendous amounts of memory. That’s the basic limitations of the PS2. A big limitation for the X-Box is that it’s basically a PC. It’s got the traditional bottlenecks. When you’re trying to do multiple things at once, the system is fighting for contention on the bus. It’s equivalent to a single highway, where you have a lot of cars going through, and the graphics chip can only do so many polygons per second. The cars have to wait because of this. With the GameCube, imagine ten highways, all custom made with the most RAM, audio memory, multiple texture passes, and MoSys technology. The GameCube is such a well-rounded machine that the games are far superior on the launch compared to PS2 second-generation titles. The X-Box, as far as I have heard, has framerate problems. I think this is going to continue to be a problem because of the bus. I wish them the best of luck and I think Playstation and X-Box will compete for second place [laughter].
There's no more and no less truth to that than anything you guys have posted.

Then why do you fight on?

For a site dedicated to system/internet performance, I expect a little more than ill informed PC gamers turned X-Box fans, spouting off rumors they heard from god-knows-where and posting incomplete/false spec sheets.
The majority of these arguments would never occur if you just got your facts straight instead of finding a "source" and buying into the mob mentality of agreeing with it.

i already got into this before, all i have to say is pc's will always rule! but just out of curiousity, jz do you have stock in nintendo?

Heh, I probably should. The have zero debt and have never posted a quarterly loss since they got into video games about 20 years ago. GBA will be a cash cow, probably bringing in more profit than all the home consoles combined.

Uhhhh...THAT'S THE POINT!!!!
It's not more credible, nor less credible than the other nonsense posted. I'm not saying it's a factual statement that should be referenced.

Eh, it's not my problem that you have reading comprehension issues. I don't know how to clarify my point any further, nor will I bother to try.
But I do like the way you resort to name calling when you don't have anything useful to say. It really says a lot...

When I posted article that toms hardware guide had I thought I was posting a unbiased opionion, maybe i was wrong but i thought that it didnt say anything about what system was better, just gave out info that was currently available. I do own a xbox and dont regret buying it, ive never been into console game systems in years because i thought most of the titles were for kids. I got into only pc games like doom and quake series ect. and some sims. anyways only own 2 games Halo and shrek for my kid, my 2nd choice would have to be ps2 although i doubt i would buy it if i didnt have any kids. But what i dont understand is how anybody over the age of 12 would buy a game cube for themselves, theres no doubt its for kids, controller colors and buttons alone tell you that not to mention game titles, if you like the gamecube more power to you its your money, and if you think its better so be it. by the way Halo i dont know what else to say about it other than its just unbelievable, consoles have come a long way.

Hey BJS, see this?
http://www.ruliweb.com:8080/data/mpeg/d ... 4ps201.mpg
VF3 has finally been topped. VF4 will send the DoA and Tekken newbies running home to mommy.
You have Wave Race, right?
http://www.waverace-bluestorm.com/npenter.html
I will win this at all costs. Current best, 2:14:932.

Good luck with the contest, because personally, I don't really like wave race, and will probably never purchase Blue Storm. I'd rather be spending my Cube time with Super Mokney Balls or Rogue Leader (havn't even played it since I got it).
Ruliweb is busy (as usual), so I'll have to download that file some other time. But I highly doubt it'll take me away from Tekken 4 or DOA3...
