I just wanted to get an idea of what everyone pays for their service and what location you guys/gals are at. Here is mine:
Charter Pipeline
Worcester MA
1.5kbps down
768kbps up
49.99 per month.
Capped both ways.
I know it isn't the greatest but it sure works for me! I look forward to seeing what you guys got!

49.99
512/128 ( make no mistake, i don't actually get this--infact they throw in an added bonus--25% packet loss and lots of timeouts )

Damn you would think cable co would look at OOL and think ...hmm maybe we should offer that to our customers. Ah well I guess some companies are greedy.

Surewest DSL, Sacramento area, California. 384 download and 128 upload for 50 big ones a month. I download at about 50k/s.
That's over-priced California for you. And since I live in a city where one telephone company has a monopoly and the only way you can get broadband is with their DSL, I have no choice. Meanwhile, all around this town there are faster connections.
Are some of these connections for real? I saw one that was like 8800 download 2200 upload for 50 bucks a month. That just doesn't sound right.

$30 per month for 3mbits down and 256 kbits up, actually getting between 2500 to 3030 mbits down and 200 to 235+ kbits up consistently. I pay $30 because I just brought my own cable modem last month, the price is going up to $5 in the spring[from what I heard]. Cox High Speed Online by Roadrunner[well, this is what cox calls their high speed internet service in my area] rocks the house. I'm happy with my capped speeds, but I'm still jealous with OOL users, but my cable company is looking at Cablevision and going have their own managed high speed network up and running in my area by December 2002

Maybe next December, I'd get OOL like speeds and faster, the price will be $35, but I don't mind or care considering this is the only alternative next to dialup, dsl, and satellite

COX Cable: 1024kbps dn - 128kbps up ; 24.95/Month
Wireless: 1.5 mbit up/dn ; $120/month
Wireless is cool for uploading to my FTP site and for downloading stuff, but for gaming, its not as stable as cable. (Hehe- Kinda poetic huh?) Have not had wireless long enough to really give a good or bad opinion on it yet. Just testing it out now. The other wireless company here only offers 1.1 dn and 384 up. And its 79.95/month.

Well that depends on how you look at it my brother, I have 2 of these accounts 1 home and the other buisness the buisness is way more expensive also.
I have quality tech support . On the rare few times I had to call tech support, well their phone never rings someone always answer before the ring

They take care of their customers greatley not like some companys, when I was denied bandwidth for a year + I always said I would give a right arm for decent high speed connection, I now have it and did not have to give the right arm, its just money I dont take it too seriousley, for every dollar I spend I make 3
