Is this fast for Cable Modem?

I recently tweaked my Cable Modem using the 0% QoC and I used some custom settings on my registry by using Cablenut 4.0.8. I'm posative that my speed went up a lot, but im not sure how fast. When I do a speedcheck, it reads 4600 KBps. I think it says average cable is 500 KBps, so I was wondering if my tweaks worked to make my Cable Modem extemely fast.
Thanks

I think your mixing up bits and bytes. KB is kilobytes, whiel kb is kilobits. 1 KB = 8kb
4800kb is a very good speed compared to the average cable user. Is your ISP OOL? Also, download a large file from aol, ms, or another fast server. That speed is in KB, and is the most accurate.

Yea your right. It says 4600 KBits/Sec. My internet service provider (i think this is what your looking for) is Optimum Online (
http://www.optonline.com). On another post I tried a download to test speed, and at 10 megs of a 17 meg download I was at 384 KBps, and was spiking to 1.64 Megs/Sec at one point.

Yeah I have OOL also. 4xxxkbps is the average tweaked speed for OOL. Those "spikes" you said are really errors with IEs speed reporting technique, and you really never reached that speed.
I dont know what your RWIN is, but if you havent tried 64240, you may want to, since most OOL users find it best.

Will 64240 make it go faster? Does a large RWIN do anything to your computer? I pretty much have no idea what RWIN is because i'm new to tweaking, and just followed manuals.

Ok that did not work. When I changed my RWIN from 642400 to 64240, it decreased my speed from 4600 Kbits/Sec to maybe 3000 Kbits/Sec. I think I'll stick with 642400. Thanks.

I get 8600/800 kbps. I use RWIN 64240, and it works the BEST. The standard RWIN for OOL is 64240, and works best for most people. I dont know why so many people use huge RWINs here though.
