i need help with my upload speed

i just tested my upload and download speeds. it was tested with a 1MB file. my download speed was great at 3.200Mbps. However, my upload speed was terrible at 0.112Mbps. What can i do to increse my upload speed? Also does my upload speed affect my ping/latemcy with online games? Im kinda new to this stuff so plz put it lamens terms if possible.

upload affects online games alot, as far as improving it, goodluck, we are discussing this very concept in another thread. If you have cable you can try and uncapp your modem but your node that you and the surrounding area are on only pass a certain amount of throughput.

Well, there's bad news and there's bad news.
On Adelphia, you really didn't get 3.2mbits. The file you used is small, and the download rate was incorrectly reported by your browser.
The upload is probably capped at 128kbits, so 112 is as good as it's going to get.
No modern cable modem can be uncapped.

Well i went and tested my connection speed at about 10 other sites and got close to the same results. How is it that they r all inaccurate? Also im using cablenut. i used the default w2k fast file, im using winXP. So can u tell me where i can get an accurate reading from?
