I recently got this error in xp when shutting down
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
***STOP: 0x0000000A..... and so on
Now I know someone posted a link on most of these errors but I can't find the thread.
Does anyone know which thread it was?

I had the same problem. I was a driver that was for windows 2000 that would not run XP.

I found that by looking at the blue screen that it would list the offending driver that is causing the problem. My offending driver was for my highpoint ultra dma 66 controllers. Microsoft did not include the highpoint controllers with XP as they did in WinME. So I used subsituted the latest driver for windows 2000, that was causing my crashes.
Go to start, programs, accessories, system tools, system information, tools, file signature verification utility. The utility will scan your files for drivers that are not digitally signed. The driver that is not digitally signed may be your culprit. Hope this helps. Good luck.
