Just wondering how close I am to my max speed.

I've gone up to an RWIN of 560640 and reached upto 43 times faster than 56K using the http://speedtest.umnet.umich.edu/ test.

What is your Cap actually? Phone the teches or tell me the speed package that you bought, like 128 down/56 up..

Although the cable modems we currently use are capable of speeds up to
10 Mbps we have capped the cable modems at a speed of 3 Mbps downstream
(download to the home) and 400 Kbps upstream (upload to the Internet).
This allows us to maintain a more consistent level of network
performance.

my speeds have dropped to 4 times faster than 56K. Is that because now is a peak time or something? I haven't changed anything recently

Ya, back then with RWIN 513920 I could get up to 600 KB/s on download with ATT @Home. But now, with nothing change, I don't know why on earth my speed drop down to about 100 KB/s. Yes I called up the tech and they said 100 KB/s is still good for a cable modem connection. I was so pissed off and I just hung up. Damn it...

I also try different RWINs (almost all of them) but the speed still staying steady at about 100 KB/s.

I want my damn old speed back....Any idea....

@home is filing for bankruptcy, so you should expect some server changes which results in slow speeds.

Cablenut tweaks are for small RWIN, not large

so i should either try one of 2 things. wait or go to smaller rwin right. I'll try the smaller rwins if there is no change then i guess i have to wait and see Thanks all for the help

Part of it right, Cablenut speedpatch or SG's speed patch, save settings and see which you like best
