These guys are cool, not only do they cook up a great curry, they run around and slice people up with their Kukris. Ph34r the Gurkhas. I pity the Taliban if these guys go in.

Yeah, they are real, and very nasty. Training is on par, or better than our SEALS.

Prey these guys are very real, they are one of the best britt units there is, only down side our country really has let them down big time. i feel and many of us also feel this that we should refund and look after these great fighters.

The army said that, without caring for his own safety, Ganju Lama crawled forward and engaged the approaching Japanese tanks.

He succeeded in destroying three tanks.

The Army said his prompt action helped British troops to regain positions and inflict heavy casualties on the enemy.

Yup, they come from Nepal and serve in the British Army in the Royal Gurkha Rifles. Fought and died in every theatre of combat that the UK has been to since the 18th century.

Their motto is 'It is better to die than to be a coward'.

is it true that 5 navyseals have been caught? ill get the quote i found today.

hmmm the report seems to have been removed, it was saying things, i thought was not a good thing to say, ie: how many SAS were in afghanistan and how many more were on route also named the seal numbers.

the news should really not free up this kind of info, unless it was a fake story to trick the enemy.

Yes, the Gurkhas are a real unit. I have not read anything about a SEAL team, you find that artical yet? I know that CANADA's Special Forces are in country with the SAS so I would think that the SEAL teams would be there too.

I thought the Gurkha Regiment was officially disbanded some 10 years back.

It was my understanding that they simply were indoctrinated into the Regular British Forces now.

I was sure i had seen the Ceremony of this taking place some time back.

They were, or are, a fierce & Feared Fighting Unit with British Officers.

They are a very Distinguised Group. None and i mean None better anywhere.

Please correct me on this if i am mistaken about their disbanding magg, as it interests me.

" the four Rifle Regiments disbanded to form a large regiment ". I think you're correct about them being totally part of the British Army, I *think* they are completly based in the UK now.

is it true that when they kill they cut off the enemys ears. and if they draw there blade they have to draw blood b4 they can put it away, even if it means cutting there selfs?

I thought i had seen sonething to that effect. I remember hearing of them and seeing them in film back as a child during WW2.

My Uncle was a Grenadier Guard and he spoke of them as well.

Powerful stories as i recall.
