I been playing eq for like a month. I have a 350k mhrtz comp w/ a pentium 2 and 128 bits of ram and 64. I also have road runner. But when i play the graphics are good a little distorted tho not smooth. But every time i enter town or leave town it says its loading but it freezes. would it be the video card? it says i have a primary driver. But under the start/system controls/display/graphics it says no video or sound card. Could this be the problem and if it is what are good cards to use besides voodoo and geforce.

How long is a while?? What do you mean by I have a 350k mhrtz comp w/ a pentium 2 and 128 bits of ram and 64?? I dont get the 128bits of ram and 64. Your best bet would be a Geforce of any kind. Do you have a video card and sound card? If it doesnt say so then your drivers may not be installed or were lost (eg Cdisk errors darn those erros crashed my HD).
It might be this

I had a similar problem while playing Everquest. When I would change zones it would hang my computer up.
For me the problem was my software firewall program not allowing access from the everquest servers.
I think that at one point everquest changed the way their servers interact with the players. For me I had to trust an ip address per zone in everquest. I would zone into a new zone and then I would lock up. Well I would check my firewall and I would trust that ip that it had just blocked.. Then I could enter that zone fine.
I hope this helps..

What firewall are you using if any? Also are you using a router with a built in firewall? If you do not know check you manuals and see what they say about firewalls and allowing access.

Not your hardware manual, your software books. Just becuase it is old dosn't mean that you threw away the books...or did you?
Look for firwalls...two common firewalls that people have are BlackICE and McAfee Personal Firewall. Also if you are on a network sometimes the router that is being used has a built in firewall. Post what you have Router wise if you do and Firewall wise.

All you need to do is set your hardware acceleration down one notch, restart and your good to go.
