@HOME subscribers: Last chance to uncap?

The majority of all Cable users, are on the @Home network. With the exception of recent start ups, and local area providers, the @Home network has been, pretty much, the only way one could have a cable modem, in their possession.

Could this be the last chance to uncap?

A lot of us, to save money, bought cable modems, instead of renting them from @Home.

What do we do with them now? Trash them? Bash them? Try to sell on eBay for pennies on the dollar?

Cable internet is doomed, as of this moment.
There are ways to uncap. My friend did it to his, before being caught in 2000. He was fined $50, and kicked of if his service, however, what can a service fine you, if they are not even a legal corporation anymore?

The time is now. If anyone has REAL, legit info, on uncapping, please... Let's freaking get on with it. If you're on @Home, pay them your final respects, by seeing how good of a service they actually could have been.

The titanic is sinking, and soon, people will be clawing their ways to DSL life boats, to hold them over until the faster, better, cable services return one day, if possible.

I am expecting a full severance package. I've paid a full year in advance for my @Home / @Work services, and if I don't get it, you'll expect me to be in the news for killing a few CEOs.

Uncapping? It's now or never.

The rules are now changed, as it is judgement day, and we have the mark of the beast on our foreheads. There is nothing left to do now, but let chaos ensue.

your pathetic. Period.

And short of hacking, you cant uncap a DOCSIS modem. Is @Home DOCSIS?

if you knew anything you would know that there was only one specific brand make and model of modem that could be uncapped because of a firmware problem

even if your "friend" did have one of those it is either gone now or the firmware was upgraded

there are nolonger any modems on @Home that can be uncapped in any way shap or form by the user short of cracking (the proper term for it not hacking) into the @Home provisioning database and changing your QOS in it

plus this is America ******* over 1000 people have been cut from @Home in the last year many are very pissed off..............................if there was any way to uncap on a subscribers end one of those 1000 would have posted it and it would be all over every where FOOL

nobody can keep a secret in this FUKING country not even the FBI so how the hell is uncapping gonna be kept so secret

you could kickass on Speedguide and DSL reports hits per day if you had a site that had how to uncap and all the warez codes all you *******es seek so often......................WHY DOES NO ONE HAVE THIS FOOL.............................cause it cant be done on your end.....................UNCAPPING BY THE SUB IS IMPOSSIBLE SHYTFORBRAINS................................get over it :p :p :p :p

I do admire your everlasting quest for the impossible, let alone the unknown. Uncapping is a hot item in sites like this and dslreports.com. I highly doubt that there's a single techie soul that doesn't know about these sites, and that would also refrain from distributing this info. So please give it a rest, you may sleep better at night. ;)

Well rodrod5 has the feeling bit down. A little more tack would have been nice, but discussions on uncapping are verboten. Uncapping is wrong and apparently not possible. The very first thread in here is about this subject, read it and edit yer post.

Also, its prolly not a good thing to come into a broadband forum and forcast the end of cable as it is known now. Akin to running into a movie theatre and yelling fire. I can see where you are comming from, but looting and pilliaging is not the solution.

First, ever heard of RoadRunner? Its the 2nd largest cable modem company in the nation.

Secondly, read the post at the top of this forum. Just dont talk about uncapping and you wont get into trouble.
