TCP options string = 020405b401010402
MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.
MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which is equal to MSS.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 8760
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 8760
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 350.4 kbps (43.8 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 140.16 kbps (17.52 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
Consider increasing your RWIN value to optimize TCP/IP for broadband.
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 116 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

yes, try one of the speed patches featured on the start page. just make sure that pick the right one for your os and that you back up your registry. once installed reboot and test it again.
if you need more help just wait for lobo, he has helped me out a lot...

I d/l the patch and right click to install and it tells me:

Does not tell me what device and I haven't a clue.

You unzip patch before you right click on it, then right click what you unzipped, get winzip from
http://www.downloads.com:)

Just go to help page below in signature and download Cablenuts software ONLY. Heres directions:
How to install Cablenut Software
Download and install soft ware, a box should come up with select your OS (Operating System) This is very, very important as it enters the correct registry entries.
This will also install Cablenut on your desktop, click on this and RIGHT click on adjuster, click on shortcut to desktop, this will put it on your desktop. Click on adjuster and to be sure to click on options at top, choose operating system and make sure you have selected right one, very important. OK, close out of that.
Next, inside Cablenut on desktop click on that, then ccs (Cablenut Custom Settings) select which type of connection you have, 56K, PPPoE or DSL, or Cable. Then select the setting you think best for your connection. 9x means Win 95/98/SE/ME, 2k would be Win 2000 and XP. Fast or normal, depends on you, try both and see which one you like best, just go back to top of adjuster click on file and select the ccs setting you like best, click on save to registry at bottom and REBOOT.
This will enter some values in adjuster, blank boxes only mean that default value is being used, click on save to registry at bottom (Do this anytime you change a value in adjuster and REBOOT or it will not work.
Note: Check back often for updates and new patches
Also on 2nd page of help page in my signature it tells you how to save your setting's. Installing Cablenut Software will remove any prior patches

plz take a look and tell me what you think

If you have a 1.2 GiG CPU you can run bigger RWIN:
For Win 9x bring up Cablenuts adjuster inside icon on desktop in box that says Cablenut, click on adjuster, in box that says DefaultRvcWindow take out number that is in there and put in one of these, 1 at a time, try:64240,really, 524176, 531440, 554800, 578160
At bottom click save to registry, and REBOOT each time you change value in adjuster or it will not work. On help page below in signature, 2nd page, at bottom are Tips, and How to do Speed test

Considering my Cpu , can somebody please recommend the highest RWIn value. I use 531440 now, but I am wondering if I can gain anything by increasing it.
Any imput would be appreciated
