Okay... I use Download Accelerator Pro as my download manager.. latest version.. Have it set to intergrate all browsers. The browser I currently use is Internet Explorer 6 version 2469... Here's my problem. When I click a download link... my browser freezes and the file wont download... But when I disable DAP, every thing works fine!

Does it not work with this version of IE or is it just me? No time for jokes guys.. I'm ticked. I appreciate any help

IE 6 is the crappiest beta software I have ever used. I had to reinstall my system after I deleted it under ME since it took Windopws Explorer out with it too. I'm guessing it is not optimized for 6.0 yet, check the system requirements for the download and if it does not say it supports IE 6 than it probably doesn't. Be very careful if you decide to delete it though.
I had the same problem...

and I had to format and re-install my system as I couldn't even boot up my pc.
Cheers,

I've been running IE6 on 2 comps for a while and have had no problems. Seems faster than 5.5 too.

Any broswer is faster than 5.5... I don't know what Microsoft was thinking when they released that piece of shat... Fastest and most stable browser is IE 5.01... in MY opinion

IE 6 is good though... just needs to get rid of some bugs!

Evil...I use IE 6 and DAP also with no problems. I think that you may be experiencing just a little impatience, and I say that with all the respect in the world. You see, DAP will download from any link that you click on but it does recognize an FTP site as being different, so it takes time to log in and begin the transfer all the while acting as if it has frozen. I've experienced this same exact thing when downloading Linux ISO images from various sites. It looks as if it is frozen but it's just doing the FTP thing and some of those FTP sites have user limits. I have seen this also where too many users are logged in at a site and therefore you can't get in...but DAP keeps trying to get in and may act as if it is hung up. I might also add that I'm using WinME so this may not be true for every OS although I did see this when I was on 98SE also.

I think it's because I had the latest Version of IE 6... no updates for DAP on it and I guess it wasn't picking up and it kept freezing.. no worries now though... IE 5.01 has me smiling
